Direct refunds and rollovers are not offered, however you may be eligible for a refund through the third-party RegShield. Please read below prior to registering.
To make your entry fee refundable in the event you are unable to attend, you must purchase RegShield at registration checkout. If you skip this step, your entry fee is non-refundable.
Please note: You are NOT able to purchase RegShield at a later time. It MUST be purchased at registration checkout. RegShield covers major events but you must have documentation.To submit a refund claim: Find the email you received from RegShield/FanShield (check your spam folder) and click on the link at the bottom of the email. Follow the steps to upload applicable documentation or other needed information to submit your claim.

As long as the event is not sold out, you may upgrade or downgrade your distance. If you are upgrading from the 9K to the Half Marathon, you must pay the difference in entry costs. If you are downgrading to the 9K from the Half, you will not receive a refund for the difference.
All distance changes must be completed by March 8th, 2026.
To submit a distance change:
1. Login to your RunSignup account (the account you used to register for the event)
2. Under your profile, scroll down to view Upcoming Events
3. Click Manage Registration to the right of your event
4. Click the Transfer Event menu option from the left-hand column
5. Click on ‘Start Transfer’
6. Choose your New Race Distance and click Continue
7. Complete the registration questions and confirm your address
8. Review all details and agree to the refund policies

You may change your shirt size up by logging into your RunSignUp account and editing the details of your race registration. Shirt size updates must be completed by February 1st, 2026.

The cost to transfer your bib to another participant is $20, paid by the original registrant.
Bib transfers only apply to the distance that the original participant registered for.To complete a bib transfer:
1. Login to your RunSignup account (the account that you used to register for the event)
2. Under your profile, scroll down to view Upcoming Events
3. Click Manage Registration to the right of your event
4. Click the Transfer to Another Runner option, located in the left-hand column
5. Gather the name and email address for the person you are transferring your registration to
6. Select the transfer type:
Option 1 - Registration Gift: you will not receive a refund of your original registration fee, however, your recipient will be allowed to register free of charge after you pay the $20 fee.
Option 2 - Registration Transfer: receive a partial refund after your recipient completes/pays for their registration through your transfer link.
7. A breakdown of the transfer transaction will be outlined. Review the breakdown, and if everything is correct, click Transfer Registration.
8. Your recipient will receive an email notification that contains a unique link to use to claim the transfer.
NOTE: your recipient must accept the transfer in order for you to receive a partial refund. If they do not accept the transfer, you may still participate on race day.

When you pick up your race bib, you’ll receive a gear drop bag. Your race number must be visible on this bag. Use this to pack any extra clothing layers you may need at the start line (gloves, hat, etc.). Depending on the race day weather, it could be chilly or windy at the start, and there is time to spare between the bus drop-off and the start time.
Gear bags will be collected before you take off, transported to the finish line and organized by bib number. Claim your bag at the finish line by showing your bib number.
Please note: Everything you drop must fit in this bag. We do not recommend stowing any valuables and are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Yes, the courses are open to strollers.
Stroller Course Etiquette: We kindly ask that you provide adequate space between participants and indicate your intent to pass to avoid any trips or falls.

Sorry, dogs or other animals are not allowed on course.

The Half Marathon begins at the Smith Lake Fishing Access in Kila, and ends in downtown Kalispell. The 9K race follows the last 5.8 miles of the half marathon course, starting just before Batavia, MT. Please view the race course pages above for more information.

Yes, but only if you are a traveling runner and absolutely unable to pick it up on Friday, March 13.
Morning pickup is located at Flathead Running Company from 6:30AM - 7:30AM.
